The George Town Literary Festival (GTLF) returns this year with an impressive lineup of local and international writers. GTLF's fourth year return will feature 30 acclaimed writers in the likes of Miguel Syjuco, Kassim Ahmad, Rehman Rashid, Rana Dasgupta and Sudeep Sen, who will present their stories through prose, poetry, spoken word and / or film. This year will look at how writers' engage in GTLF's theme 'Capital' through lectures, workshops and more. There's even a ticketed comedy night where the proceeds will go to charity.

George Town Literary Festival is featured alongside In-Between Arts Festival and the Penang Island Jazz Festival, in conjunction with '10 Days 3 Festivals'. Highlighting the best of literature, music, arts and culture in Penang, the objective of these back-to-back festivals is to draw in visitors from all over for a holistic arts festival experience in Penang.
